Trained in the world’s oldest healthcare system, Ayurveda, Mairead Moodie has spent many years working with private clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. Founder of her own business, The Sacred Space, based in Scotland, Mairead has seen first hand that true healing often begins with simply giving the client a safe and nurturing space, within a community of like minded people who are also on healing journeys.

What
The Wholebeing Project is a Community Interest Company, dedicated to bringing together a mulititude of holistic health practitioners to create invaluable events, workshops and retreats where attendance is on a donation basis and many spaces are free or heavily subsidised. Our aim is to make access to holistic health affordable and accessible to all, not a luxury as it is currently.

Where
Our Community is growing mostly in the East Lothian and Edinburgh area right now, but our dream is to become a template for other holistic health practitioners in all areas to give access to these services to their own communities. It is common that many holistic therapists and practitioners came to their work through a personal healing journey and by the very nature of our training many of us believe that health is a birthright
Our Mission Statement
Community events, workshops and retreats to learn about the impact of how we lead our lives, whilst gaining new tools to heal the body, strengthen the mind and find connection with ourselves and others.
These safe, nurturing, gatherings are intended not only to provide a short respite from daily life, but to educate and help people gain skills which they can take home and apply in every day situations. From ways to improve our digestion, food consumption, breathing, sleep and ability to handle stress to empowering each person to take that information and share it with their own families and loved ones. Empower one and they will go on to empower many. As we say in Kundalini Yoga “Be The Lighthouse”.
Healing In Nature
It is our deeply held belief, that if people are given the right space and tools they can begin the journey towards healing themselves - physically, mentally & spiritually. Our aim at The Wholebeing Project is to educate on the prevention of ill health, but for those already suffering, we will aim to help them self-heal as much as possible - if not from the illness, at least from the suffering. This will be done in safe & nurturing spaces, within a welcoming community. The emphasis being on quiet venues, with access to nature where guests can retreat, reflect, learn & heal. In Scotland we are blessed with a bounty of venues from yurts by the sea to studios in walled gardens. Often we are simply in the elements taking a swim at the beach and lighting a fire to keep warm.
